When an Agent Can Buy an Outcome, the API Becomes a Marketplace
What changes when software can discover a capability, understand its price, pay, and continue working.
An ordinary API assumes that a human has already created an account, negotiated access, copied a key, and accepted a bill that will be reconciled later. An autonomous agent may arrive with none of those arrangements. It needs to discover the service, understand the price, make a permitted payment, and know what useful object will be returned.
